GHS Explained

The GHS is the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals.

The CLP Regulation (for "Classification, Labelling and Packaging") is a EU Regulation which aligns the EU system of classification, labelling and packaging chemical substances and mixtures to the Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

A worldwide system for classifying and conveying the hazardous properties of industrial and consumer chemicals.

The European Union CLP end date was 1 June 2015. Old CHIP rules are now invalid.

There is a transition period with sell out for mixtures labelled to DPD allowed to 31 May 2017. Lapsing this date will make non-compliant labelling illegal..

The Logijet TC8 is specifically designed to be compliant with the new GHS regulations.
It is the only 8" inch wide printhead, two colour thermal printer designed for GHS labelling.
